Ivory Coast – or Côte d’Ivoire – is located in West Africa, whilst bordering the Atlantic Ocean in the South.
Its climate is mostly tropically warm and humid with drier areas towards the North. It is a country of blistering nature and West Africa’s most biodiverse nation holding nine National Parks in total. This highlights the need for effective regenerative agricultural practices and the conservation of natural areas.
Agriculture is a widely important contributor to Ivory Coast’s economy. Most notably, coffee – its second largest export commodity, cocoa and timber. In regards to cocoa, Ivory Coast is the leading exporter globally.
reNature has now begun its operations in the country by developing cocoa agroforestry designs, management and implementation strategies for a local union of farmer cooperatives.
