Maxim Nyansa
Teaching the Teachers
Maxim Nyansa is a Ghanaian organisation working at the intersection of education and agricultural development. Their presence in the Farm of the Future is grounded in a simple but important insight: sustainable farming practices only scale if the people teaching them are from the community itself.
Their Role in the Farm of the Future
Maxim Nyansa leads the train the trainer (ToT) model at the heart of the project’s digital literacy programme. Rather than importing trainers from outside, they identify and prepare local teachers to deliver digital skills to youth and farmers in Meduma and surrounding communities. The first cohort will go through a 7 day intensive training session, with 10 certifying as digital facilitators. These facilitators will then teach others, creating a self sustaining chain of knowledge transfer that doesn’t depend on outside intervention to keep going.

Why This Matters
Digital literacy baseline assessments show that enthusiasm for learning digital tools is high across the community, but actual exposure to them has been very limited. Maxim Nyansa’s approach (culturally sensitive, incremental, and locally led) is designed specifically for this context. Their work is what makes the Learning Centre more than a room with laptops.
