Graduated in Biological Sciences, with an emphasis on ecology, she graduated from UFRJ in 2001 and completed her master’s degree at UFMG in 2004. She is currently studying for her doctorate in the Graduate Program in Ecology at UFRJ, which is expected to be completed by March 2021, in a selection process for which she was ranked first.
From 2004 to 2005 she worked in the environmental licensing of enterprises autonomously. Between 2005 and 2016, she continued in the environmental licensing of enterprises as a consultant, technical reviewer, coordinator and supervisor in Biodynamics Engineering and Environment, participating in the preparation of 10 Environmental Impact Studies (EIA), 21 Basic Environmental Projects (PBA), 13 simplified environmental studies (RAS, RDPA and related), 2 forest surveys for requests for vegetation suppression authorizations (ASVs), 14 Environmental Programs among monitoring and rescue of flora and fauna, forest replacement, environmental compensation and 1 general coordination of LO management.
As of 2016, Branca returned to provide consulting services in an autonomous manner, and also began to work with geoprocessing, at the Brazilian Foundation for Sustainable Development, in support of the implementation of the Rural Environmental Cadastre (CAR), and the GEF MATOPIBA Project.
For reNature, she works as a project researcher. Further, she represents the organization in Brazil.
