‘As Senior Science Policy Adviser for the Nairobi-based World Agroforestry Centre, I handle all policy and donor outreach in Europe. The World Agroforestry Centre, one of the world’s 15 WB-financed agro research centres, has developed tree based technologies that are cheap in cash and labour yet allow poor smallholders to multiply the yield of their field by several multiples. I am now certain that we have powerful tools to feed a growing population in a warming world – and am excited that these tools exist and can be applied today. Climate change will bring a lot of hardship, but at least it need not mean mass starvation.’
For reNature, Patrick Worms is an important advisor supporting the organization with his extensive expertise, experience, and network in the agroforestry sector.
