Irham Muhammad Dhafien
Irham grew up in a city in West Java, where nature wasn’t part of daily life (at first). His dad’s boy scout stories, and plenty of David Attenborough documentaries led him to study Forestry Engineering at Institut Teknologi Bandung. He then started seeing forest as a landscape where ecological restoration and community livelihoods meets.
As a student, he and his team won a national competition with a design that restored a post mining site using coffee agroforestry, silvofishery, and constructed wetlands.
After 2 years validating palm oil regeneration projects across Sumatra and Borneo, he pursued his Master’s at Wageningen University & Research, where he shifted from rigid auditing to collaborative and context-driven design. His thesis examined sustainability certification and climate resilience among cocoa farmers in Côte d’Ivoire, and he developed biodiversity monitoring guidelines during his internship at WWF Netherlands.
Now he’s bringing technical rigor, spatial design skills, and quantitative research framework to our team, and we can’t wait to see what we build together!
