Geert Magona van der Meer

Hello! I’m Geert Magona van der Meer, a regenerative agriculture project manager at reNature. My passion for sustainable farming took root during my agroforestry research at Wageningen University, inspired by my father’s aquaculture work and my Mozambican heritage.

I’m dedicated to helping farmers in developing countries transition to resilient, economically viable systems. In the face of climate change, I believe in sharing vital knowledge on sustainable farming, ensuring we can harvest fruits, nuts, and crops while nurturing soil health.

My work spans Indonesia, Kenya, and Europe, focusing on practices like ecosystem research, Monitoring and Evaluation, and carbon sequestration. I’m excited to collaborate with reNature, working towards a future where farmers thrive and our planet flourishes through regenerative practices.
